Klepper "Classic" Folding Kayak Line.
What does Classic mean? Why is it less expensive? The Klepper Classic line is built with Klepper quality throughout and has a CSM hull. The standard features of a Klepper Classic line of single, double and triple-quadruple folding kayaks include: CSM hull with 2 air sponsons, a uni-coloured Egyptian cotton deck (typically red or blue), mountain ash and baltic birch natural wood frame, length adjustable seat (or seats), D-ring for rudder lifting and perimeter safety line. The Klepper Classic line of foldable kayaks are offered with a few less options which means they are less expensive without sacrificing any Klepper quality or durability. The Klepper brass plaque and Klepper workmanship is in every handmade kayak, from Classic, Expedition to Quattro! Klepper - portable and innovative since 1907!
Klepper "Expedition" Folding Kayak Line.
What does Expedition mean? The Klepper Expedition folding kayak line is built with Klepper quality throughout and has a black TPU hull. The standard features of a Klepper Expedition line of single, double and triple-quadruple folding kayaks include: black TPU hull with 2 air sponsons (4 for Quattro models) and two x 2.4' and one x 10' factory-installed keel strips on the hull, uni-coloured or two-tone Egyptian cotton deck, mountain ash and baltic birch natural wood frame (also in black for Quattro models), length-adjustable seat(s), D-ring for rudder lifting, retractable carrying handles, perimeter safety line, deck pockets or straps for paddles, a deck bungee and the possibility of adding hatches for easy access to gear. The Klepper Expedition folding kayaks are offered with more standard options and colour choices than the Classic line. The Klepper brass plaque and Klepper quality is in every handmade kayak, however, Classic, Expedition, and  Quattro!
Klepper "Quattro" Folding Kayak Line.
What does Quattro mean? How does a Quattro differ from an Expedition or Classic folding kayak? The Klepper Quattro folding kayak line is built with Klepper quality throughout and has four (4) air sponsons instead of the standard two (2) - hence the name 'Quattro' which means 'Four'. This increases load capacity and maximizes buoyancy and safety. The Quattro also has a black TPU hull which is the same thickness as the grey CSM Classic hull, but with an extra external coating for increased durability and abrasion resistance. The standard features of a Klepper Quattro line of single, double and triple-quadruple folding kayaks include: black TPU hull with 4 air sponsons, mountain ash and baltic birch natural wood frame, two-tone or uni-coloured Egyptian cotton deck, lifeline for optimal handling, numerous tie-down fittings located along its length, length-adjustable seat(s), D-ring for rudder lifting, deck pockets for paddles, 2 x 2.4' and 1 x 10' keel strips, deck bungee and a rear loading hatch. The Quattro Klepper line of folding kayaks are offered with more standard options than both the Expedition and the Classic lines and with more colour choices than for the Klepper Classics. In addition, there are upgrade options reserved exclusively for the Quattro such as a black wood frame. The Klepper brass plaque and Klepper quality is in every handmade kayak, however, Classic, Expedition, and Quattro!
